Motorbike Pre-Ride Safety

Share

Here is a pre-ride safety check you can perform before taking your motorcycle out to ensure it is safe and roadworthy:

Tires:

Check the tire pressure and tread depth to ensure they are in good condition and suitable for the conditions you will be riding in.

Lights and signals:

Ensure all lights and signals are functioning correctly, including headlight, taillight, turn signals, and brake light.

Controls:

Check the throttle, brakes, and clutch for smooth operation and adjust if necessary.

Mirrors:

Make sure the mirrors are adjusted to your liking and are not cracked or damaged.

 Leaks:

Check the motorcycle for any fluid leaks, including oil, brake fluid, and coolant.

Chain or Belt:

Check the tension and lubrication of the chain or belt, if applicable.

Fuel:

Ensure there is enough fuel for your intended ride.

Battery:

Check the battery for proper charge and connectivity.

Fasteners:

Check all bolts and fasteners for tightness and security.

Suspension:

Check the suspension for proper operation and adjust if necessary.

By performing this pre-ride check, you can help ensure your motorcycle is safe and ready to ride. If you notice any issues, it’s best to have them addressed by a professional before riding.
