Pre-Learner Q-Ride Motorbike License -2 days Weekday 1045am-5pm

The two day Pre-Learner Training and Assessment course is the first step to getting your motorcycle licence. This is a compulsory course to obtain your learners Licence.

We ask you to please arrive 15 minutes prior to ensure we can start on time.

Training days:

  • Monday-Tuesday 11:00am – 5:00pm each day
  • Thursday-Friday 11:00am – 5:00pm each day
  • Saturday-Sunday 11:00am – 5:00pm each day is also available

The first step to getting your motorbike licence

The Pre Learner course is a compulsory 2 day course to get your motorbike learners licence in Queensland.

You are required to complete the Pre Learner course prior to sitting the motorcycle knowledge test with the Department of Transport and Main Roads.

  • If you currently have no motorbike licence, the pre learner course is the first step you need to take
  • To be eligible for this course you are required to have held your provisional or car licence for at least 1 year
  • If you have no riding experience we recommend booking in for our Learn to ride course first
FURTHER INFORMATION:
  • The Pre Learner course was created to better prepare learner riders by enabling them to gain basic riding knowledge and motorcycle handling skills in a safe environment before riding on-road
  • During the course you will cover and demonstrate a number of training competencies, including: the basics of operating a motorbike, road-craft tactics, riding curves, slow riding, steering, braking, judgement and giving way, riding strategies and a simulated road ride
  • Motorcycle Rider Training Australia’s friendly and patient instructor’s will continue to correct and develop your riding technique on our training ranges throughout the course
  • Our Pre-Learner course adopts a blended approach to learning; including theory based teaching, demonstrations, coaching and practice through doing
  • Individualised feedback is provided throughout the course, allowing participants to learn through experience
  • Students must complete day 1 prior to day 2. Please note that you have 30 days to complete both days once you have started the Pre Learner course
NEXT STEP!
  • Once you have successfully completed both days of the Pre Learner course and are deemed competent, you will be eligible to apply for your Motorcycle Learners Licence by completing the Motorcycle Knowledge Test
  • Customers can sit the test online (Motorcycle Knowledge Test) or, in person at the Department of Transport
  • Riders are required to hold a Motorcycle Learners Permit for a minimum of 91 days before being eligible to upgrade to a Restricted Motorcycle Licence (RE O)

  • Student must be eligible to commence to REL (PRE LEARNER) Course.
  • Student must have current license
  • To be eligible for this course you are required to have held your provisional or car licence for at least 1 year
CLOTHING:

Please ensure you are wearing the correct Protective Equipment:

  • You must wear long pants/jeans, socks that cover your ankles and enclosed shoes (runners are fine) (NO STEEL CAP BOOTS)
  • You will need a helmet, gloves & jacket – or if needed, we can provide these for you
